Bureau of Reclamation Grand Coulee and Hungry Horse Hydroelectric Developments
Historic Structures Report
Teamed with Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates (WJE) to complete HSRs for the Bureau of Reclamation’s Grand Coulee and Hungry Horse hydroelectric projects. The HSRs developed historic contexts to guide evaluations of physical significance, documented existing conditions, identified character-defining features, and provided treatment recommendations for the for maintaining the historic significance of the facilities during the course of future operations and maintenance.

NPS Castillo San Cristóbal
Historic Structures Report
Part of a project team led by Liz Sargent HLA and WJE that completed a historic structures report for Castillo San Cristobal, part of the San Juan Historic Site, a complex of fortifications dating back to the sixteenth century. The historic context covered a period stretching nearly 450 years from the arrival of Spanish conquistadors in 1509 to the transfer of the fort from the U.S. Army to the National Park Service during the Cold War. A chronology of the fort’s construction addressed the history of its design, builders, materials, changes over time, and transformation to tourist site.

NPS Fort Pickens and Battery Pensacola
Historic Structures Report
Part of a project team led by Liz Sargent HLA and Wiss Janey & Elsner Associates that completed a historic structures report for Fort Pickens, a historic fort within the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Authored the historic context and contributed analysis of the character-defining features and preservation approach to inform the HSR, giving foundational guidance and planning for the National Park Service’s (NPS’s) efforts to maintain the fort for decades to come.
